About IHC Marine & Mineral Projects

IHC Marine and Mineral Projects (IHC MMP) is part of IHC Mining, IHC Merwede's Mining Division. IHC MMP was founded as MMP in 1993 as a consultancy to serve the growing marine diamond mining industry off the West Coast of South Africa.

In 2010 MMP, which is based in Cape Town, South Africa, was acquired by IHC Merwede to strengthen the position of the company in the market for deep sea dredging and mining. Unique to IHC MMP is their ability to engineer and deliver tailor made underwater mining systems and equipment. Their prior proven experience and project management capability in underwater mining distinguish them from other mining consultants.

Through IHC MMP, IHC Mining offers:
-regional presence in the sub sahara mining market
-a knowledge center for subsea excavation equipment
-components for offshore contractors which are active in the region
